From Chiang Rai 5 Days 4 Nights Trekking Tour Program

Start from Chiang Rai, in the morning 8:30am. Boat trips up the
Mae Kok river to the Hot Springs where you will have an enjoyable
lunch before going on to visit the Lahu and then Akha village (where
there is a beautiful waterfall). You will stay in the Akha village;
where if you are up early enough ? stunning sunrises can be enjoyed
over the lush mountains. The first day you will trek for 2-3 hours;
accompanied by an experienced guide.

You will trek from Akha village into the surrounding jungle and
then learn to cook lunch in traditional Akha style.
You will then stay overnight in a ?banana leaf house? where you?ll
have the chance to catch and cook fish from the nearby stream. (Vegetarian
food available). The trek today will last around 6 Hours

On day three you will trek to the Yao hill tribe village, where
you will cook lunch in the jungle before your journey back to Akha
village. Here you will be able to take a nice hot shower before enjoying
a night in front of an open fire, listening to the sounds of the jungle.

Today you will trek to the Karen village elephant camp, where you
will get opportunity to have lunch before traveling on the back of
an elephants to the Yafu Lahu village, where you?ll be spending the
night. Trek around 2 hours, plus an additional two hours on the elephant.

After having breakfast in the well preserved Yafu Lahu village you
will trak to the impressive, Hauy mai sai waterfall. From there you?ll
travel back to the Akha village to have lunch. Then you?ll take a
trip to the Lahu village; from where you will be transported back
to Chiang Rai ? arrived around 2 ? 3pm.

interesting facts about the flora and fauna of this region. From your
starting point at the Akha Hill House, one of the only traditionally sited
Akha villages left in Thailand, set high on a steep mountain ridge overlooking
a magnificent valley, you will trek though some of Thailand?s most beautiful
scenery.On the trek you will carry a traditional long bladed jungle Knife,
with which you will be taught how to make everything you need for your
evening from bamboo. Chop sticks, cups, plates and the bamboo in which
you will cook you rice, that days catch from the river, plus the jungle
herbs & vegetables.At the overnight camp you will learn how to catch
fish, crabs and prawns by building a small dam in the mountain stream
- a technique of the mountain people, That night you will build a banana
leaf shelter where hopefully you will sleep soundly after a most interesting
and rewarding day. The next day after breakfast, you trek through a high
mountain valley, to the three tiered Huay Keaw waterfall. Returning to
